Class Description

"The Health and Safety Institute (HSI) Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT) program is intended for a general audience. AVERT is excellent for: Schools; Churches; Co-op; Troops; Business; Clubs; Meetings; Offices; Libraries. The program includes cognitive information and participation in activities that help to prepare a student for possible active violence emergency and how to react to improve the likelihood of survival. This program is not intended to meet workplace first aid regulatory requirements. A minimum of five students is required for each class. Training is best if conducted in your facility for realistic training in the environment the event might occur. AVERT class time is about 4 hours. We believe that AVERT is essential training for all organization, so we make sure that AVERT training is affordable training for all organizations large and small. The goal of this training program is to help participants develop the knowledge and confidence to react quickly if active violence event should occur.
